12 Heroes we’d gladly leave our husbands for!

1. Roarke from J.D. Robb’s In Death Series - Even though Eve could kill me with a look, I’d take a shot at him.

Book Cover 2. Dageus Mackelter from Karen Marie Moning’s The Dark Highlander - Closer by Nine-Inch Nails… need I say more?

Book Cover 3. Kell Sabin from Linda Howard’s Diamond Bay - I wouldn’t mind dragging him up from my beach.

Book Cover 4. Luc Martineau from Rachel Gibson’s See Jane Score- I really want to lick his tattoo.

5. Acheron from Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter Series - I would lick him all over.

Book Cover 6. Ben Lewis from Linda Howard’s Heart of Fire- I would gladly play slap slap in the rain with him..jungle or not.

Book Cover 7. Lucas Hunter from Nalini Singh’s Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changelings, Book 1) - I would let him pounce on me any day of the week.

Book Cover 8. Jack Sheridan from Robyn Carr’s Virgin River (Virgin River Trilogy, Book 1) - He can mix me a drink (or whatever else) anytime he wants.

Book Cover 9. Ian Thorton from Judith McNaught’s Almost Heaven - I would finally be able to give up responsibility for the family finances and not go hungry.

Book Cover 10. Judd Lauren from Nalini Singh’s Caressed by Ice - I’d love to warm him… from the inside out.

Book Cover 11. Gray Roulliard from Linda Howard’s After the Night - because he has a big, er, checkbook.

12. Gabriel McBain from Julie Garwood’s Saving Grace - He’d keep me warm on those long winter nights.holly.jpg

I’m only familiar with 4 of the heroes. Need to jot down some of these books. And really have to start reading Nalini Singh!

    Well said ladies!
I’m now feeling a need to re-read some KMM! You gotta love Daegus. And Adam Black… And Drustan…

  3. Anne on December 9th, 2007 5:14 pm

Aye lassies, the McBain is soooo HOT! Love that.
Roarke… le sigh. He’s so perfect.

  4. Bev(QB) on December 9th, 2007 5:33 pm

How ye picked but one KMM Highlander, I doona ken. ;-D

But, since we’re talking Kilt Lust, I would have to add Jamie Frazier from Gabaldon’s Outlander series in addition to KMM’s swoonworthy kilt wearers.

And Vaughn from Madelynne Ellis’ A Gentlemen’s Wager. He’s such a compelling bad boy.

And just about any of Lora Leigh’s Breed males. Although Jonas Wyatt is my current obsession.

Vax or Malachi from Shiloh Walker’s Hunter’s series.

Oh crap. I’m just going to stop now before I shock y’all with the true depths of my sluttiness. :-D

Ohhh, Ian Thornton! I love that man.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, Roarke is like chocolate to me - mouthwateringly luscious, rich, dark. YuMMM!! But Daegus is an extremely close second!

I don’t remember Ian well enough to know if he’d make my list, but I absolutely agree withRoarke and Lucas. Especially the latter. Mmmm.

  8. Allison on December 9th, 2007 6:31 pm

I love these lists, they’re such fun. And I know 10 of the 12 heroes on this one. Very tempting…. but still I think I’ll stick with my hero-husband for now ;)

Aww…where’s Derek Craven or Sebastian St. Vincent??!!
    :-)

  10. katiebabs on December 9th, 2007 7:33 pm

    It is all about Roarke!
And yeah where is Derek?!?!!? :)

  11. Pam P on December 9th, 2007 10:58 pm

Oh yeah, Derek, Lucas and Judd, and Garwood’s Gabriel. And Bowen from Kresley Cole’s Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night is such a protector and gruff, but can be so sexily charming and tender in his own way.

  12. Sybil on December 9th, 2007 11:21 pm

I have read about five or six of them. Not bad…

Two questions - Holly is married already? And WHERE is St. Vincent?

  13. sula on December 9th, 2007 11:32 pm

I think I prefer Drustan over Daegus.

Ian Thornton was always one of my favorite McNaught heros. Been a loooong time since I read that book.

I haven’t read the Gibson book, but I just love the name Luc when spelled that way. It just LOOKS sexy. lol.

  14. Holly on December 9th, 2007 11:36 pm

Oy, I can’t believe I forgot St. Vincent. *headesk* That was so wrong of me! He totally deserves to be on the list.

So do a lot of others, though. But since Syb limited us to 12, there wasn’t enough space. I could have listed hundreds. *eg*

Oh, and no, I’m not married yet…but I might as well be, right? *g*

This is a freaking fabulous list. All it needs is a few Lisa Kleypas’ heroes and I know I’d be set. and maybe Bobby Tom Denton. I love him too. But Gray is on here so.. that’s awesomely sexy.

Wonderful heroes, but right now I think I’d like a vampire, one by JR Ward, Christine Feehan or Lara Adrian..

Got something to say?
